Digital Art / Vector / Surreal

You can't hide from the hidden,
There's no rest while you're living.
The darkness creeps in
Malicious and unforgiving.

Speaking in riddles of reality and fiction,
Subtle truths and false depictions.
How am I to move on
Through this subliminal infliction?

Reaching out for understanding,
but there's no one in the darkness.
A faint whisper arises
"There's no solace for the heartless."

A lack of answers leaves me wanting.
Why does it press on my conscience so?
Why is it forever haunting?
Why won't you simply let it go?
