If I were a parent considering which school to enroll my 16-year-old in, this wouldn’t even make the list. I think you’ve fallen into the all-too-common pitfall of thinking that “cool” design trumps every other consideration. Remember that your audience is likely 40+, so white text on black or dark grey is going to be very hard for them to read – their eyes aren’t as good as they once were. The “racing stripe” motif, the colours, and the skid marks on the road in your cover image all scream “3 am booze-fuelled drag race that ends up with 3 kids dead and another in the hospital with a broken back”. Parents want to know that their kids are going to be taught to drive safely and carefully. There aren’t even any shots of people in this, neither instructors nor students (and yes, I get that these are probably placeholder images, but you could still easily find stock shots of driving instructors and kids).
If I were grading this, I would tell you to scrap it and start over from scratch. Keep your target audience in mind with every decision, from layout to typography to overall design aesthetic to your choice of imagery. Then make it look cool.
